Conclusion of our 2nd fundraising event for the MS Society of Canada

Conclusion of our 2nd fundraising event for the MS Society of Canada

The second edition of our fundraising campaign for the MS Society of Canada was held from April 23rd to May 18th. The clinic collected 10$ for each exam and cleaning performed by our team of dental hygienists. We also participated in the MS Walk on May 27, which took place in 17 cities across Quebec to benefit people with MS and their loved ones.

A total of 1120$ was given to the organization that supports families affected by MS, as well as funding research for the treatment and cure of the disease. This cause is dear to all the staff at the clinic, especially since Nancy, our assistant, has been dealing with MS for years. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that we have been able to contribute to this charity.

Canada has the highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the world. MS is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system comprising the brain, spinal cord and optic nerve. It is one of the most common neurological diseases affecting young adults in Canada. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 15 and 40, and the unpredictable effects of MS last for the rest of their lives. The MS Society provides services to people with MS & their families, and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease.

Thank you to all of our patients who participated in this fundraising!
